Most transfer problems are one slider away from being fixed.
The receiver is decoding slowly, or not at all
Drop a rung on the density slider. A denser frame packs more bytes but needs a sharper image, and a camera that cannot resolve the modules reads nothing at all. Rung 3 is the default for a reason.
Frames are being missed
Hold both phones still and keep the sending screen filling most of the frame. Raise the sender brightness — a brighter screen lets the receiving camera use a shorter exposure, which cuts motion blur, and that is the single biggest win for read rate.
The transfer never finishes
It does not need to be re-aimed or restarted from the top. Keep filming: fountain droplets fill in whatever was missed. If the rate has genuinely stalled at zero, the camera has lost focus — pull back a few centimetres and let it refocus.
The received file will not open
A file is only written after its SHA-256 matches, so a saved file is intact. If it was encrypted, it needs the same passphrase that was used to send it. There is no recovery path for a forgotten passphrase.
Sending several files at once
Select them all in one go. They are zipped into a single archive with one manifest and sent as one stream, so there is no gap where you have to stop and re-aim.
Still stuck
Write to ngandcoofc@gmail.com with both device models, both Android or iOS versions, the app version from Settings, and what the receiver’s live rate showed. We hold no logs of your transfer, so that description is genuinely all we have to work from.
